hole in the back box / mk1 1.2 clio d7f

failed emissions with a leak on the joint at the back box ,i have taken
the whole system out ,cleaned up and put it back together with zorst
assembly paste ,as soon as i start the engine up ,drops of water started
coming from behind the back box :eek:

thinking its a corrosion issue ,cleaned up the area to see a very neatly
drilled 3mm ish diameter hole :ph34r: :ph34r:
anyone know if its supposed to be the for water draining purposes ??
or do i just stick a screw of the suaitable diameter to fix it ???

its the boxes water drain its meant to be there.

just a note, if you do need a back box for it, and dont want anything fancy, ask your Renault dealer to get you a price on a Motrio one, we did one recently for the same kind of vehicle and the welds etc were every bit as good as a genuine item, no pigeon s**t etc
