I have had:

New wishbones/balljoints
New ARB bushes
New track Rods
New track rod ends
New front tyres

I am about to receive a welded steering column at the weekend

I need the tracking done, but will doing it before I fit the column be a bad idea? Or can I do it before the column and not worry?

Yea, I think it wil be best to do tracking after the column, but I am an impatient type and want it all NOW!!!! :D

do the column before pod. the difference is great

I shouldn't have thought that changing the column would change the tracking? as the column just goes into the rack - the track rods will be fixed to the right length for the tracking and you're not touching them or anything near the wheel assembly??

I agree with the above though - get tracking done last, just in case! lol

if theres play in the collumn, the tracking wont be right as the wheels can move by their own accord, which is bad lol.

i solid/non worn collumn will give accurate tracking results imo as the steering wheel will be in a fixed position instead of 5 or 10 degrees of play either way.

I will try to sort column before pod but tracking as well may be tricky as Adam may not have it sorted by then and getting tracking done before I pick you up for pod may be a bit of a close call time wise. It's not that bad at mo tbh, I can wait.
