I think the time has come to put my Williams away for winter, mainly because it runs out of tax and MOT and the end of next month and I don't really want it getting plastered with all the salt etc that's on our roads through the winter!

Is there anything in particular that I should do before it goes in the garage, I was just planning on washing, polising etc then covering it with a sheet but is there anything engine wise etc that I should do?

Cheers
Martin

The salt in this country isn't that bad, should see the stuff they use in Germany!

Remove the arch liners and clean inside the arches properly so that you can see the original signs of paint/underseal.

Put some extra air into the tyres if your leaving it a while.
Disconnect the battery.

Cheers for that. It's probably going to be away until next march/april time and when it goes back on the road it will have an oil/filter change and general service so looks like all that is left to do is to empty the garage!!!

if its going to be off the road for a while i would remove the wheels and leave the car on stands, and also push the pistons back on the brakes and clean everything up so they dont bind on when you do go to move it again, i have heard peole draining oil/coolant etc, but think thats a tad exessive
