might be fubared....time to upgrade...
more money cars
why i say this is because there impossible to get parts for i think and even when working are unrated..
a cheap toad cat 1 will be less hassle will work will reduced your insurance..
most people decide to upgrade....think you can get them for less than 300 fitted and certified..
some are even less...

thats not true mate, you can still get parts for them. If you dedicated u can repair anything

if you want, you can simply remove the siren altogether as this tends to go nuts! lol... this will leave the central locking and imobiliser working but obviosuly not the siren...... i rang Cobra and he walked me through the procedure himself.. great tech support line in the manual.

not sure about that to be honest, there should be a small black junction box under the hood on the firewall not too far away from the siren itself, this is where the siren connects to the whole system, you can simply disconnect it from there so it wont send it a signal and trigger the immobiliser.... but getting new sirens and ones that work with the original i don't know?... i had to take mine out as the batter was going and would go off regardless of what i did with the alarm fob or even the master key in the alarm itself.
For me, although its nice to be original with things as much as possible... i'd just get it all removed and have a nice Toad fitted, that way you know its reliable, new and it works....
ive had my original cobra alarm taken out still got the parts if you need them
