think about it ,its not a re usable item and is essential
for fitting the rod ,hence it comes with the rod kit .

done drivers side on my car yesterday , its a rack out jobbie

you need a decent mole grips to get the old rod out
that was not possible with the rack in situ as bits got in the way .
you might have better access on a clio though i dont know .

much easier and safer with rack out ,putting the rack back in
is the hard bit . and dont forget you want to use bolt locking
resin on the rod threads !!!

I got the locking washer with the arms, hurrah!

I also happen to have a stilson wrench for the job now :)

How big a wrench? I think I might just get the biggest one I can find lol although I don't want it to be so big that I can't get any leverage on it because the floor / the underside of the car is in the way...

Used a small stilson when I did mine mate - getting one too large will amost definitely be hampered by other items and make the task a whole lot more difficult.

I think MattyH recently bought a stilson to do his track rods and ends - might be worth PM'ing him asking him what size stilson he bought. From memory I think the stilson was approximately 8 inches but best to ask MattyH and know for sure.

Think the one I have is too big, so I'll ask for a smaller one.
