I'm planning a widetrack conversion for my valver and will need to replace my FK's as I've read they won't fit once the widetrack is fitted.
Now I have some 16v shocks with -35mm springs from before I fitted the FK's, would they fit with the Williams bits ok or will I need willy shocks? and are the tyres likely to rub on the arches with the -35mm?
I'm replacing lower arms, arb & driveshafts if that makes any difference.

I think the bolt spacing on the dampers means that you end up running silly amounts of negative camber but I'm sure that someone will confirm or deny this who actually knows for sure! lol
i'm running 16v bilstein shock on my williams, gives me 1.4 negative camber.
oh so you can use valver items, whats it drive like with the camber?
much more grip inside the corners
umm tempting the shocks i got with the widetrack seem shite compared to what i have. got any pics?

Get standard front dampers from renault - not that much!
yeh got a qoute for like 49 each just wondering about saving some money as ive spent quite abit on the car recently.

is that standard ride height? and what's the tyre wear like?
Also I have some camber adjustment bolts (think they are k-tec), would these return the camber to a standardish angle?
thanks guys.

lowered 30mm and tire wear is even better now. with standard camber the edges wear much faster. now its more balanced. i don't use the car for long distances by the way. only some racing in the country.

your car looks the sex like that.
bet it'd be a great track setup
i run 3 degree neg on valver track with fk coilies, extra tyre wear is negligable, its a mis nomer blaming camber, its tracking out associated with incorrect setup after camber is added that results in excessive wear

Don't you find it difficult to stop though?
My RST had silly front camber (although not 3 degrees silly  lol) and I struggled to get it to stop as I simply couldn't get a decent tyre footprint on the ground when braking!
nope, no issue at all, brakes are bob on, theres still plenty of footprint, the r888's help and i run slightly lower psi on them, around 27-29psi

Weird...
3 degrees isnt much mate, road tyres have more than enough give in them to make decent contact across the footprint of the tyre, i probably loose like 3mm width of contact max, and the extra pressure on the inside edge more than makes up for that. if it was an issue, why would the race cars run 4 degree neg, hardly going to risk loss of braking efficiency were they?

Makes me wonder what mine used to run then!
My tyres were literally rounded off smooth on the inside, so you had bout 80% of the tyre flat like it should be before the last, inner, 20% curved away...
trakin out mate, shouldnt do that just off camber, so something else in ur setup must of been amiss, i have run that much camber for 5k on my eagle f1's and they were still pretty much worn even across the tyres width when i sold them

Odd.
Ah well, it's in car heaven now I think :(
I miss it a lot! although the valver is a much, much better drive.
