are these the bulbs in the HID lights?

No, they're 'standard' fit H4 bulbs but they produce (apparently) 110/100w despite only being rated at 60/55w.

Or you can get non- 'e' marked ones that pull 80/80w but produce 135/125w!

You pay for the quality though, sadly :(

You're local to me aren't you fatboy? If so you'll have to have a drive of mine with them in to see what they're like :) (assuming I can get a replacement one that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg...)

Given that I'm unlikely to find any for uber-cheap, any recommendations by anyone for best-priced places would be greatly received :)

Ta!

Shame they no longer sell them. Don't seem terribly priced though.
Its annoying they cost so much. As there the best on the market.

I'll be in Hong Kong in a few weeks and will be touring the car parts area of town, as normal! If you can get me a pic of the box and/or full specs of the bulbs I will see what they have out there - would imagine it would be cheaper than the UK if they do have them.

Surely these can't be brighter than a set of hid's?

Whats it like running high voltage bulbs through the renault wiring - I was never too keen on doing it as they're the thickness of a pube

I was thinking of wiring a direct feed off the battery and getting some good bulbs but then again I've got these hid's still sat here - hmm what to do what to do....

white16valver

I haven't tried HIDs but it's a bit of a faff to get them in, plus the bi-xenon ones that have the movable bit in them are about £75, more than I can afford! (Not that I can afford the PIAA ones but I would actually like to see where I'm going... lol)

The PIAA ones are bright though - they're rated at 60/55W but put out more due to some magical powers :P Mat commented on them when he drove it and I hadn't mentioned them!
