Erm, have lots more of other stuff, but no more of 001...was being pressured by a non-williams owning mate!

Happy to post more of different stuff if there's demand.

are you sure that williams is 001, when i asked the guy at the renault info stand if it was #01, he said it was actually 0065. I got a few pics of the stand, the 400hp Maxi 5 Turismo turbo was class

also saw a 5 Maxi turbo on the forest rally stage, was it being driven by ragnotti ?

This pic of this car is really what this site should be all about.

Its a shame its full of people who just want to race ALL the time and will do ANYTHING to their cars to satisfy some underlying insecurity to prove their cars are the quickest.

Different strokes for different folks stromba...I bought my car to drive....track, strip, road..most people are competetive!..who wants to come last..?

I dont mind you doing what you do to your car Martin. If you cant tell i quite like you and i think what youve done to your car is fine. I dont have a problem with modifying a valver or you.

I do have a problem with the spiral of destroying perfectly good Williams' on lowish miles just to go racing. :x

..who wants to come last..?

i dont mind coming last as long as my car/engine remains in one peice and doesnt break. Stromba, know what u mean.

I guess it's a shame the williams is such a great handling, capable hot hatch  ...it's inevitable a few will be turned into track cars I suppose. IMO if you have a willy one it should be kept stnd/be able to be put back to stnd easily but 2&3s are fair game...

Think you are worrying over nothing. As long as the registration card/book is valid for the vehicle; even if the car was destroyed, I am sure a brand new car can be re-built (with some "ahem" adjusting of plates). My old 2002Ti was burnt to a crisp and re-built twice! The only consideration was the availability of parts. There will always be owners who drive their cars to bits, as well as owners who will put them back to concurs condition. I use to be the former but slowly becoming the latter :(

C'est la vie (sp?) 8)

This pic of 0002 and my head is really what this site should be all about... me me me me me me!!!!!

Its a shame i'm such an arrogant and opinionated fool that doesn't appreciate the cars performance or peoples desire to improve theirs... my ignorance knows no bounds and yes, it's an inferiority complex hence why I like to talk shit on every thread I possibly can regarless of wether or not I actually have a point... usually not though  I can only appoligise that you are not all me and this site is not 'Allaboutrobandhisoversizedego.co.uk'.

fair play, does that mean you'll do us all a favour and **** off?

quality pics there Zollo, did you get any more rally cars???

That'll probably be me then, as I was only presuming  . Couldn't see the plaque, as they wouldn't let me go near it. I thought it was 001 because it was LHD and it had Pirelli tyres and, well, you would have thought they'd use 001 for that type of thing. Oh well!

Glad the photography is ok. Bloody difficult with loads of people around and delay on camera meant action was a bitch too!

Rest of the Rally Slags to come in a sec Jesus...

Wasnt having a go at Zollo. I think the pics are great. Just interested in whether it is number 0001 or not. I appreciate your not a Williams enthusiast, but these things are interesting to me.

I can ask Zollo if it had cams and what time it 1/4 miles in if you like?

J o n
25-06-2005, 17:34
lmao, i'd say i'm the enthusiast and your the geek.

what is it that actually interests you about these cars? you 'say' you dont drive it over 5'500, you 'say' you dont race, you 'say' you have no interest in going fast, modifying or 1/4 miles or even trackdays... so that only leaves polishing and posing... and there are better cars to do both in. These cars as you consistently like to point out are 'rally cars for the road' yet nothing driving related appeals to you... can I suggest www.cliosport.net some nice 'just washed' threads you can talk about waxing etc on... i'll stick with my mud and scrubbed tyres from all the hard driving... shit, forgot they are sick of you as well

How about creating you own forum possibly, you could make up extra user account and rig popularity polls and even talk to yourself to give the false impression that people tollerate your ignorance ;)

Im a Williams / car enthusiast. You appear to just be a speed enthusiast.

Its gives me more pleasure looking at a polished 0048 at the Goodwood festival on a Renault stand (or any other original car) than listening to losers / boy racers drone on about how much of a man they are because they race another car and won in a traffic lights grand prix.

Goodwood is a good example of what a true car enthusiast is all about IMO. Lots of immaculate ORIGINAL cars going fast (although they look just as good not moving). They are used, but only in moderation, and for every 1 hour they are driven, they receive 10 hourse of work / love to keep them mint.

IMO of course.

J o n
25-06-2005, 18:03
how come you weren't there then Stromba? spam enthusiast i'd agree with
what gives you pleasure is fine, but i'd say being a forum troll and calling people losers for having different interests shows you for what you are. you'll find that most people on here share the same interests as yourself and go further to appreciate the actual car itself... until you have driven your car properly you simply wont understand. standing around in a reno t-shirt doesn't make you an enthusiast

Why i cant go is non of your or anyone elses business.

Would you put lexus lights on a Renault 5 turbo 2?
Would you put an after market spoiler on a Martini Delta Integrale Evo?
Would you respray a Ferrari daytona in a non factory colour?

So why even contemplate changing wheel colour on a Clio Williams?

Philistine.
