View Full Version : Judder when pulling off
In the Cup racer i get some judder through the wheel and feels as if the engine mounts are loose. Its fine when moving just pulling away from standstill. It does have a paddle clutch which can be snatchy but doesnt feel 100% right.
Pics of mounts:-

Any thoughts, do the mounts look Ok ?
does it just judder when on the bite of the clutch ?
Sounds like the clutch is worn mate.
To check the engine mounts u will need to remove some parts to acsess them.
try rock the engine forwards and backwards on the lifting eye - should be hard to do if all mounts are working

Clutch seems to load of bite (plus it is a paddle cltch so can be keen to bite) and when giving it a bit of revs its all smooth on take off. Just feels like the engine is moving (juddering) and with all 4 mounts on then even a clutch juddering shouldnt move then engine as much.....make me think its a mount.

release bearing?
Could be - but you should also be able to hear the release bearing wen its fubared. Makes a noise when clutch pedal down.
have u tryed to see if its the engine moving or something else....ive driven cars with clutch judder and u can feel it through the full car lol
Sure it's not something like exhaust knocking? Can make some odd noises sometimes...

Is it a dry clutch or a wet clutch?
If it's a dry clutch, could it be oil getting onto the plates or something??
(nb: this is a complete guess and I'm a mechanical retard  lol)
get a vid up mate so i can see the probs
