I have recently purchased a williams 2 and live in the westmidlands so im new to this site. Anyway use hill power for all my work as he is super at what he does. What i would love to know is where are all the low numbered williams ? are they still about or are they smashed up. So where is 0002 and any low low numbers mat

0002 is owned by a chav who frequents this board occasionally. It used to be well looked after, but its current owner is too tight to spend any money on the car.

the pics are well good of 0001 its so mint. so do any of u know where number 3 is i guess some of these numbers have disapeared over the past few years. i have a williams 2 has done 85 on the clock which is good for the age and i loveeeeeeeee it lol

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 10:48
0001 - Frank Williams owns it and it is in the Williams factory (LHD)
0002 - I own it (RHD)
0003 - Is / was owned by Patrick Faure (Ex head of Renault sport France) (LHD)
0004 - Unkown
0005 - Is / was in a dealers in Liverpool (RHD)
0006 - Was on trader about 6 months ogo (went for less than 2k) (RHD)
0007 - Unkown
0008 - Unkown
0009 - Unkown
0010 - Unkown

Very high probability that some of these cars are LHD and in France.

Nick at hillpower was telling me that u have 2 very nice so how did u get your hands on number 2. So do u still like the williams 2 or do u hate them lol as they have made the 1 not as limited as they should

Allan

always makes me laugh that photo!
all those sports cars and a hatch back in the middle !

Williams 2 doesnt really affect the value of the 1's, as collectors really want the plaque. Williams 2 is also a great car. As is a Williams 3. But id rather have the exclusivity of the plaque with my cars. Plus the Williams 1 was the homologation car.

need to get the alloys refurbed on my williams where can i get a good job done? had a quote from pristine for 268 quid thats with the diamond cut finish. plus thinking of having a respray found a place in great bar called dragon arts go to www.dragonarts.co.uk and check there work

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 11:18
Thats a welsh site?

zeus
24-06-2005, 11:19
wrong link here u go www.dragonart.co.uk

zeus
24-06-2005, 11:23
they will do a full respray and instead of having the williams 2 stickers that peal and look crap after time they will spray the logos into the paintwork exactly how the logos look what u reckon all for 1500 quid. thats also with all new plastic strips

zeus
24-06-2005, 11:30
so stromba what u reckon ? plus any ideas where i can get a good refurb on my speedline alloys

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 11:34
When i get hold of some practice wheels i will be refurbing wheels. In the mean time, i couldnt find anywhere that could do it to my high standards so i bought new wheels from reno.

Get the car mechanically sorted before respray time. :D

zeus
24-06-2005, 11:46
there about 800 pound for a set of 4 from renault arnt they stromba. so when do u think these williams are going to worth some money i know yours is now. Do u think i should stick with my williams 2 or look for a williams 1 and put some money into that stromba

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 11:51
If you plan to keep it, i would definately get a Williams 1. Spending money on it WILL raise its value, although you will not get back all the money you spend on it, obviously.

If you want to buy a ready to use car and dont plan on keeping it that long then get the best you can of either 1, 2 or 3.

0062 is for sale in the faor sale section at the moment. 0087 is also for sale somewhere.

zeus
24-06-2005, 11:55
well i have a nice williams 2 so dont no what to do. seen number 62 but is it a good buy? plus it looks changed inside? and where is this 87 then lol i cant find it? if i was to keep my williams to and look after it will it be worth some money in the near future or not stromba?

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 11:58
It will hold its value well if you look after it.

zeus
24-06-2005, 12:01
so where is this car number 87 then stromba? number 160 is on auto trader but done a few to many miles for my liking its done 99600 so where is 87?

Jan
24-06-2005, 12:14
0062 currently has bucket seats, but i have ALL the original parts to put it back to standard 8)

zeus
24-06-2005, 12:17
how many miles has your williams jan done and is it mechanically sound and rust free?

Jan
24-06-2005, 12:20
It's on 85k, and i think it's in good condition throughout :)

Very small amount of rust on the tail gate, but otherwise totally sound

zeus
24-06-2005, 12:29
is it totally standard otherwise, i have a williams 2 that has done the same amount of mileage would love a low numbered williams 1 but dont want to buy one that is going to have problems and i want to get it totally original and want the engine to be in good condition

Jan
24-06-2005, 12:31
Yeap, it's mechanically very sound and completely standard.

The wheels would need a refurb, as they don't have the silver rim, but it doesn't bother me too much

zeus
24-06-2005, 12:36
has it had new clutch and cambelt and does it have fsh. and how much are u looking at for it i am willing to pay 2800 for it in cash

zeus
24-06-2005, 12:48
jan how much would u take then for a quick sale, 3750 seems a little much i know its a low number but still seems a little expensive

Walter
24-06-2005, 13:57
wow, seen the video of 2 on driven years ago and knew I wanted a Williams from that moment, but couldn't afford the insurance so now I have a valver (got some points on the license  )

i was looking at a valver of cliosport, dunno if you know it or go on there i'm not registered yet and cant get membership for some reason, but it's a red one that had a williams engine and loads of mods, so was probably well fast. and that seems to be the next best choice, but it's been done at hill power and they are not very good from what some of my mates have told me

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 14:27

I know which car you mean, and the engine was worth more than the car.

good spec on it from what i remember

so how come you let driven drive your car around king they gave it some proper stick did they pay for the tyres or give you any money towards repairs n stuff or you one of those rich types thats not arsed? id love to own a williams with a low number like that but aint seen none around before seems to be just 2s on low miles in the autotrader but would want the original and best when i get one!

Walter
24-06-2005, 18:33
aah rite how long u had it for?

look really fast in the vid anyway never had mine to 120 before it rattles too much. had 110 out of it a couple of times but it gets a bit scary over 100 in a car this small!

KingStromba
24-06-2005, 18:35
