View Full Version : Camber adjustment bolts on standard hubs?
OK, I dropped my RSi into the weeds, but my camber is disgraceful.
I have heard of some folks drilling suspension/hubs to fit camber adjusting bolts to the top hole, in order to push the hub back out.
Can anyone help/give me guidance before I tear through the inner parts of my tyres please
:D
lots of camber doesnt kill tyres as much as u think mate, tracking out is the worst
i run bout 2.5-3 degrees neg and my eagle f1 tyres have run that for 4k with no real wear to inside edges

haha 4k of roundabout's hehe
i'm running with 1.4 neg and no signs of wear on the inside. Before the camber change they had most wear on the outside.
two options mate.
1. buy camber adjusting bolts
2. slot the top holes.
either way will then need to be adjusted properly.
camber adjusting bolts make adjustment easier in the long run.

Any guides/explinations how to do it mate?
coop slotted his top holes mate...
send him a pm..
camber adjusting bolts are just a bolt with an offset middle section like a cam shaft that gives a few degrees of adjustment either way.l

Like they have a lobe on them? I thought I had seen them before. Are they specialist to williams, or can they be bought anywhere? And surely the hubs or shocks (or both?) have to be slotted to use this?
Cheers again guys while I get my head round this, lol
have a look on k-tecs site mate they have them and they are mode for each car..
pics might help..
also ford boys use an m8 bolt in the top hole sometimes to as this allows some movement too instead of the m10 original...but this would worry me i think.
or have washers welded on to make one, i have some camber adjusters in the glove box of the Dimma, never been bothered to fit them yet lol
When you lower clio's and most other cars, the steering rack tie rod angle changes, which makes the length of the rack shorter/longer if you get me, this in turn pushes or pulls the wheels out, your tracking will be out if you havent had it reset to the new height, This murders tyres! i thought it was excessive camber on a 60mm drop, but had the tracking done and my tyres were lasting 5X longer,
Now widetracked and standard ride height, think i need to elongate my struts a lil bit run a bit of negative camber 8)
