Also, Slick 50 do a ps additive that I have used with some success in the past. Halfords probably stock it.
mines uber noisy so just want to quiet it down :(
although i really cba to change the pump lol
its a strange sound, like there are bubbles in the system but i have tried to remove the air and none seems to come out :(

It might need fully draining. Mine was and was filled with Slick 50's stuff, but still squeals like a bastard sometimes.
you can get the Slick 50 stuff from ANY Motor World branch as its the only power steering fluid we keep in stock, its actually very good
Slick 50 has been recommended many times. I could not get so got Wynns stop leak/conditioner fluid and that work plus bleeding as per Haynes Manual. Definately quieter.
Got some of the Forte stuff from ebay to use next time I need it. If its like their other stuff it will be good.

attempt a comprehansive blleed 1st
as gibbo says
change the fluid
i did on mine, and the shit that cam out was like water
new stuff only cost £5/6 for 5L's
FORTÉ is very good i use the fuel system cleaner (http://www.forteuk.co.uk/Gas_treatment.htm) and you can fell the differance and the 16v ticks over better (less lumpy)
not used the FORTÉ power steering stuff .. but have used the slick 50 and it works cleared the nosiy steering you just need to get all that bottle in by keeping empying the the filler bottle using it for a mounth then empty and fill again
