right tried wiring up my windcreen wipers and washer last night, took the feeds straight from the stalk (as far as i understand only the intermittent wiper works off the relay??)

i got the 2nd and 3rd speed working on the wipers, then when i went back to test it again it would move really slowly, in some cases stopping, no matter what speed i put it on?! could i have burnt the motor out?

also i rigged up the washer pump (again straight from the stalk) had it working, went back to test it again and nothing! could i have burnt that out too?

how exactly should they be wired up if it doesnt go straight from the stalk?

i am confused (which doesnt take much when doing wiring! )

if it was me i would check what voltages your getting and compair them to the haynes manual.

Normally there is a fuse to stop you blowing things up, or putting too much current through. Did you change anything from standard ?

yes we have pretty much changed the whole wiring loom

if i was to put too much current through would it work a couple of times and then burn out?
