For Sale:

Tungsten Valver
K Reg 1992
92.5k miles (Roughly)
MOT until October 9th 2008
Taxed till Jan ’09 (I think)
Cobra Immobiliser

This car goes like stink, is bullet proof, and looks mean as hell. It’s a low mileage example Mostly standard, it will provide a new owner with a great base to do what they want with, either track or standard road car. Can’t get much better ‘performance per pound’ or French chic in any other car.

Price: £1200 ono

Standard apart from:

Pipercross cone filter
35mm lowered all round
Outer ARB Polybushes
Mintex M1144 front pads
PTFE Throttle body gasket
Note that all these items have been added only recently and are nearly new.

The above links show my project thread for the car I have for sale here. It’s a long read, but you can see the work and pics I have done.

Bad bits:

Needs tracking done and new track rod ends. New track rod ends will be provided with the sale, just not had time to fit them yet. Overall they are not that bad as they are.
Rusty arches – can either be scrubbed back and treated or bodyshopped – quoted £300-500 for both.
Drivers sill rust – there is a hole near front wheel sill, can either be welded over or replaced.
Some minor car park dents and a dent in rear hatch door.
Clutch has quite high biting point, but no slipping as yet so may just need readjusting or new cable.
Rear window heater isn’t working. I know it is just the prong connectors on the window, easy fix.
General wear and tear, mainly driver seat foam, alloys and front bumper with some stone chips.
No front fogs

(lowered)

Note the Magnex exhaust has since been replaced with a standard exhaust system.

Parts that come with the car:

New track rod ends
Original ph1 front grill
Catalytic Converter (easy swap from current decat)
Original rear wiper and motor with screws
Original Aerial

I’ve probably forgotten a few things, but please ask away if you need more info.

The car is based in Southampton, Hampshire.

I would love to keep the car, and it OWES ME BIG TIME!!!! I now own a Williams 1 and living in the centre of town I just don’t have the space or time for two cars :(

Most of the things that are going to cost silly money have been sorted on this car. Mechanically it is sound, with just some bodywork to be taken care of if you are that way inclined.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

It's a real shame you have to get rid of it :(

Has been a good learning project though!

If I had the cash...

Thanks Leighanne hehe, and yea it is a shame but I just dont need two cars tbh and the valver has come to the end of it's project. I learned a lot from it, and the next owner will no doubt be completely ignorant of the blood sweat and tears that went into it hehe!

Up to three people coming to see the car tomorrow, so it may be a fond farewell very soon.

Aye, I will sad to see it go tbh. I love having both cars but it's just not a sensible option. I've got all the crap to sort on the williams now, and the valver is almost a finished item...just minor stuff to sort and the bodywork rust, but I think the new owner has plans for the rusty bits so that's good.

Well, having been using it recently, I forgot what a nice ride it is and I may have sold it a little cheap but not by much. At the end of the day it did what I wanted and I can pat myself on the back after all the work I did.

It does still need sill sorting and the arches and tracking, but not a lot else, so next owner can run amok with mods as long as they keep it maintained...
