Extra wires on the ignition wiring.

I'm changing the locks on my car but I've found that theres an extra black cable been soldered onto the yellow wiring in the ignition switch.

The car seems to start fine if I don't connect the new barrel lock to it but I'm wondering what its from and what effect it ill have it not being connected.
I'ev tied multimetering the wires on the alarm with it with no sucess but then again its not easy cheking so it might be one of them.
Can someone please tell me what the wires for.

its defo part of the alarm mate....from memory its either the 15second imobaliser (which lives behind the instrument pannel)

I will have a look at my drawing tonight that i did when i took my old one out and see where it runs from.
