Idling Far Too Fast

I've just managed to get the rev dial working and the engine idling at about 2.5 on the counter. I replaced the red thing (fuel/oxygen mix) bit last week so had a fiddle with that to get it down but could only get to 1.9.

Looked around the accelerator cable and there's a few points either side where possibly it could be loosened (left by red things and right on gas table) however the left screw is hard to move and possibly seems at its limit.

So question is how do i go about getting the idling speed down?

by red thing you mean the tps which needs to be set by renault yes... start there

was it idling too fast before and why did you change it...

No cos the wires were corroded.

But whatever way i put it - it still idles way too fast
