removing head

ok so i got a engine in my shed and im wondering how the head is removed got most bits off is it a case of locking it removing cambelt and then using a torx and unscrew the bolts?

how can i lock the engine?

I'm sure there's a hole that you can put an allen key in that locks the pulleys and everything in place?
