OK, So I'm looking to do another group buy....

- Wilwood Dynalite 120-6805 calipers x2

- Poly E brake pads x1

- Custom Designed, Alloy Brackets x2

- S/S braided Hoses (2" longer then std) x2 with the correct fittings, no adaptors needed.

- High tensile bolts x 4

You use standard size discs, so either use your original ones, or buy new 259mm size ones... DISCS ARE NOT INCLUDED.

Estimated Costs - £ 350 inc VAT + £15 p+p

Total £365

I can take paypal (but you need to add 4% to cover fees), cash, cheque... People are welcome to pick-up and save the p+p..

Any other questions just ask... Or do a search, theres loads of information from the other group buys...

Cheers

Tony

Im in, will send a deposit now if you want!

Where are you based for pickup? and are they easy to fit?

tony16v
29-07-2008, 16:23
Hello Mate....

pick up is from brackley, postcode NN13... which is about 10mins from Silverstone...

Yep, easy to fit, straight bolt on... the hardest thing is normally un-doing the brake pipes...

Kits are supplied with all new bolts, and braided hoses...

100 quid despoit would be good, cheque or paypal, but if you use paypal you need to add 4% to cover fees...

Anything just ask....

cheers

Tony.

Hi tony, whats your paypal addy? il get deposit over straight away.

Am i right in thinking if i cook my standard breaks everytime i hit the B roads, will these solve my problem?

tony16v

PM'd mate...

simonr85
30-07-2008, 12:03
Will these be perfect for some hard abuse? as i tend to go through brakes quite quickly

and RE: buy new 259mm size discs, are they bigger than standard? if so what car are they off?

and its says estimated costs, how likely are the costs to go above that figure?

tony16v
30-07-2008, 13:18
Hello mate,

these will be perfect for hard abuse... as most people buy them for that reason.

the discs are standard size williams disc.

if you get the despoit to me they will stay that price... 350 +15 p+p...

its 15 quid p+p cos I pay extra to have them insured to the full value... p+p could be cheaper but its not covered by the full insurance.

if your still not sure have a search on the forum for wilwood, theres loads about them, and comments / feedback from when I did the group buy before.

Also you could PM a few people that brought them before on the group buy... see what they say....

cheers

I bought some of these from Tony in the earlier group buy and am happy to publicly state that the product is great and he is a top guy to deal with. :D As soon as my car is finished I can post updates of how they deal with the tough test of the Nordschleife, but I'm sure that they are more than capable of anything you could throw at them!

Hi all!

would have a question.
can I use the 4pot calippers with 280mm discs? I am using 17poo brakes currently.
Maybe I have to use bigger pads? is it possible? any idea or experience?

Thanks in advance,
Oszy

You would just need the right bracket

tony - do you know where to get brackets made up? I've already got these calipers but I want to rum 285mm discs when the time comes to replace

Yes, bracket is ok, but the 285mm disks have bigger bearing area than the 265mm......it is meaningless to use 285mm discs if the pads use the same bearing area as on the 265mm discs

^^I've got 259mm discs atm

I thought there would always be an increase in torque when braking, the further away the calipers & pads are from the centre of the hub, hence a better performance from the brakes with bigger discs :?

the trouble would be mate that you would need to order 10 sets as the costs to do ones would be too much.... due to the programming and set up costs...

hmmm...yes, might be a bit better.
But I am wondering if it is possible to get bigger brake pars for the 285mm discs?? And where to get it from? And if I need replacement pads? does anyone have experience?

thanks in advance for your replys

PEOPLE....

After speaking to Tony after selling all these kits he can do another batch but must be a minimum of 5 people. Deposit of 100 quid would be good to help out to make sure people are not mucking about and would be sent to tony not myself.

If you are genuinely interested please leave your name below!!

Sorry guys, im going to have to give this group buy a miss, big bill landed on the table and gotta sort it out,

tony16v
17-11-2008, 09:49
Sorry in the delayed response guys...

once we have five people interested, I will ring around confirm the prices and lead times of all the parts.... once I know this I will post up the details...

Once I have everyones despoit I will start to purchase all the bits, and order the brackets.... its normally the brackets which take the longest, as the guy that makes them does them between jobs, to keep the costs down...

Just to add, I have now sold-up most of my clio bits and am moving onto other things, so if anyone wants to buy my bracket design and contacts PM me to discuss...

cheers

Tony.
