Just a few before and after pictures of a "new" blasting process. The gearbox has a £7k "DRENTH" gearcluster and diff, because my mate was in a hurry to get the box together, time did not permit him to get it vapour blasted before assembly ~~Hence this process, for those that know ~~ you definitely would note sand blast/vapour gearbox as shown ~~ even vapour blasting utilizes very fine grit !!!! ~ It would get in ,past the seals etc etc ~~ with the obvious damage occuring.
This method uses BI-CARBONATE of SODA ~~~~ BAKING POWDER !!!!,and is totally bi-degradable.The worst that could happen,is water ingress, which I suppose could be swilled out a gearbox oil change.
Manifold was one John "2 live" gave me ~~ now ready for some heat proof paint.
Cost ~~ not cheap ~~ the media is expensive.
Gearbox £60,Manifold £10.

Forgive me for being a tad dumb  but did you leave it to soak or something and it cleaned all the shit off?

Daz Mate,  your not dumb ( just an EWOOD supporter    )

It is not a soaking process, but a "blasting process" just like sand/shot blasting, but instead of using sand/grit ~~ which is very abrasive and would get in every nook and cranny ~~ and f**k up everything ~~ bearings etc etc. This process replaces the harmful grit, with "Baking Soda" which if it got into bearings etc would not harm them.

Rodders.
