View Full Version : Williams Coolant Hose Request

I have been looking at a few companies to supply Silicone Coolant hoses for the Williams and creating a group buy accordingly. I will endeavour to try and make the 'deal' an open ended discount for Club users.
At the moment, the cost for such Silicone hoses seems quite dear to me.

One company I have been talking to has requested to get a set of the coolant hoses for the Clio Williams in order to provide a quotation, and to replicate them in silicone form.

Therefore, anyone who has spare (old) coolant hoses please 'post up' what you have and I will be in touch accordingly.

Many thanks.

daft question time

what is the actual benefit? just more robust?

No deterioration, can with stand effects of heat/pressure (better)
OEM hose prices are a joke (checked against dailogues - sp?) any reno people confirm?

Old rubber hoses, through heat/pressure expansion are prone to failure.
Also, clips seem to cut through OEM hoses far too easily (even more so when they are 10+ years old).

Yup. Samco prices are a joke tbh. If you can source sets for the Willyams, at a good price, count Wobba in ;)

Can you get these for other models (i.e. RSI).

I would be interested if cost isn't too prohibitive...

Well as it stands....

I need to get a hold of all the coolant pipes in order to get a quote and also to allow replication of - any help will be much appreciated...

If 15 people buy, one company has offered a 20% discount -
Someone did mention to me - 'williams owners are tight fisted, wont be able to make the numbers'

In reply to other questions...
A few of the companies I have been in touch with can replicate any coolant pipe so other models can be catered for. Unfortunately I do not have the time to do this - I am only trying to get the Williams hoses made up as I need some myself. I must add, that companies will be unlikely to want to make a small number of hoses 'bespoke'...as this does not give them good economies of scale...so either the consumer pays extra - or they refuse.

Coops AFAIK all Williams had the OEM cooler set up - early valvers did too. And I also want black silicone coolant hoses.

Where is the company based? I have a set of silicone hoses already that I might be prepared to let them borrow if it helps everyone out, but I need to know that I can get them back within a reasonable timeframe.

That would be really generous of you if you could/would do that...sending you a PM now.

Those prices do not include VAT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things are moving forward at the moment - have been quoted the following from one supplier.

I have managed to negotiate a VAT free price, have a direct line number for the person who I am dealing with and the company which will be used is extremely reputable.

Hoses specification: Silicone Hoses (I believe they are original Samcos)
Hoses included: 2 Major coolant hoses (one of which is the 5 branch) and 4 ancillaries
Colours Availible: Blue (2 weeks lead time) other colours (3-4 weeks lead time) approximately.
Price: £227
Delivery Charges (uk): £8

That makes it £235 including delivery for all 6 hoses (colour of your choice).

This is more or less on par with the Renault OEM Prices.
I do not believe I will be able to get the hoses cheaper from anywhere else and therefore will not be pursuing other suppliers/manufacturers.

Need a confirmed list of people who are interested now.

List as follows:
1. eternalife (confirmed)
2.

He has been emailed - waiting on reply.
I have a feeling someone ordered the kit from the above person and it was a 3 branch valver set up not the 5 branch Williams/early valver design.

Oh Buggery - Mat Brown was right.
Above ebay links coincide with 5 branch hose required for the williams (at least that is what I have been told by the seller).

I am ordering on monday. No group buy needed really - LOL
