I recently bought some braided lines for the Williams from Lunner.

After searcing the forum etc it became clear that although advertised by Goodridge as 16v and Williams, they would not fit correctly on a Williams, anyway I went ahead and tried to fit them, finding that they were far too stretched on full lock.

So I decided to email Goodridge and tell them I wasn't happy with this and due to me not buying from a shop, although they were new from Lunner, I was stuck with lines that do not fit.

Anyway I got an email back about 15 minutes later, expressing their concerns over it, he was passing the info onto their motorsport division and asked what length lines I would require to work.

Anyway long story short look what turned up this morning, free of charge 8)

We had the goodridge rep come into work a while ago when we opened an account with them (mainly for staff use ;)) i did let him know that the williams front lines werent long enough, said he would look into it but doubt he did, i used a r19 16v kit

Yes, this has come up a few times before so they should have known really. Do you want to sell your fronts from Lunner as although I have widetrack I need some braided lines to fit my modified rear and I'm sure your too-short fronts could do the job - or did they ask you to send them back for exchange?

That's the kind of customer service I like. Fair play to them.

I too had this problem, at my last mot my car failed the brake test when one of the hoses split. Thankfully it didnt happen on the road. I spoke to the motorsport specialist at goodridge who asked me what size lines i would require, the standard lines are 210mm fronts, so i asked him to add on an extra 20mm.

Hopefully now all williams kits should have the front lines extened by 20mm. I will phone him again this week to see if that has happened. I also got another set of hoses sent out free of charge.

sorry should have specified its 210mm without the end fixings with them included it works out at 250mm.
