Got this jvc head unit with the screen/dvd.when playing a dvd it flashes up 'parking brake' and you only hear audio,any ideas

sounds like its probably a "safety feature" that wont let the screen work while the car is moving

I bet you have to connect the head unit to the handbrake (how u do that I aint got a scooby :? ) or bypass it somehow

ive got a JVC DVD player in my car (seperate screen) to by pass the handbrake safety feature just run the green handbrake cable and attach to a bare piece of metal anywhere on the car. i ran mine through the bulkhead where the amp + wire runs and found a patch under the bonnet to attach to......

ive just plugged and played at the minute but ive noticed a longish lime green wire,which im assoumong the brake wire ? so basically strip a bit off the end and attach to any metal surface right ? wrong ?
