the missus decided she was bored of her 182. we thought about turbo'ing it but after rws and seeing the vee's she decided she would have a mk1 vee. so the hunt was on and this is what we ended up with....

lexarse lights are going as soon as i can get it running right. think the ever so common coil packs have gone. jus gotta find which 1.

it f*****g flies. its supercharged running a vortech charger with top of the range omex management.

This car has been mag featured numerous times mate. In 2004 i was the owner for a day!!! Me, 2live, monkey had a right laugh in it lol. It had done 8,000miles back then !

it had a 1/4 mile race against 2 live's... had a head start and still got caught up :S having said that it would almost certainly be a different story now... plus Northy's not driving it, your missus would probably fare better ;)

all the panels have been off as has the inlet manifold.

6 new plugs and 4 new coils later. and still no joy.

jus downloaded the omex software and getting a lead to enable me to interigate the omex ecu. should be fun!!!

na no way. the maps r fine, they apparently never change. but it could the ecu picking some dodgy signal. so instead of taking it 300 miles to get the bloke who built it to read the ecu or pay someone to come out read it im just gonna do some data logging and hes gonna run through it with me on the fone. not ideal but if theres a prob he gauruntees me we'lll find it.

next step is a compression test. fingers crossed it doesnt get that far.

if not mastercard are funding a forged bottom end and some ice cold cooling according to the missus.

Lewis, the 600 doesn't have data logging that I know of, that's a feature of the 710 iirc

thats what its running the 710 series.

yeah the 710 is absolutely awesome! Just thinking about it a 600 wouldn't work on a Vee anyway, it's for 4 clyinders lol.

the car is at GDI at the mo.

may need more than a new sensor, but not to fear. its getting sorted soon.

that thing must be fooking rapid, i must have watched the vidio of the charged one on youtube 5 times and i love it!
do you not worry about your bird driving it tho? or is she a petrolhead too lol?

some lad at work used to let his bird drive his 350hp mk4 astra c20let, and she was lethal, used to torque steer it all over the road just setting off by accident lol

yeh it does go. shes a complete petrol head like me. wants an evo 8 FQ next!!

forged pistons r very much on the cards at the mo for the v. changin the management to KMS aswell. should be good for 400bhp.

however im not sure about the box. but it has just had a rebuild so should be ok as long as treated with some respect.

not changin ecu's. the omex seems more than capable. done a google search to see who runs it and wot with, and have found out its perfect.

getting traction control, shift light and a couple of other little gadgets installed also!!

putting a low mileage engine back in as ive been told its prob the best option due to piston damage. caused by a not so curvey map!!!!

how hard is a vee engine to change?
