best way to take engine out

yes i was thinking from the top to till someone told me that is your car has a ABS unit the better way would be dropping the subframe.
another optiopn would be getting rid off the ABS unit.

anycoments on this?

is it posible to take it out from the top with the abs unit still attached?

Out the top of the bay everytime - Just remove the rear engine mount bracket fully before you pull the lump. Obviously pull the lump at an angle favouring the timing belt side and give the gearbox a little pull to the front to help it miss the ABS unit - Easy!
