IIRC it had had a n/s/f smash.............and was snapped up very cheap...... if this is the same one im thinkin of anyway......

like i said tho, its always gunna be a write off, not worth more IMHO

if it's worth more its due to the low mileage, thats it. not the fact it was the last one etc etc.

Might have low milage but it is still old and has been sat around in breakers yards for a while I would imagine.

lol.yeah thats true paddy....but its obviously been garaged for a couple years before it was registered....then written off not so long after that by the looks of things........then as monkey says..been sat in a scrappy for how long??

personally id be very wary of this car , as i dont think a car drives the same after a bump that needs major work to repair....minor work when suspensions involved...they just dont feel rite imo

well ive asked for some pictures....let see how it looks.

dunno, ive seen some really mashed up bikes that have come into our garage and theyve gone back out in factory condition, all depends who's done the job.
i know wat ur sayin tho, its always in the back of ur mind innit.

ive driven quite a few cars that have been previously written off......and with differing quality on the work....but even the ones that have been done perfectly......still feels as tho theres summat not quite rite....n thats without even knowing its been written off...so not a biased account......yeah they may look like they in factory condition, but a bent then re-bent into shape piece of metal is always weaker than a non bent bit, even with stregnthening (which is a dead giveaway) the paintwork is easy to get looking as good as new for someone thats handy with a spray gun, and a lot of things can be hidden underneath the paint

I can agree its the last one registered...might have to see if i have a higer chassis number than his

I think rather than slate his car, maybe we should appreciate that Paul and other like him do put alot of effort into restoring cars that other fools have written off. Personally if i had 10k lying around id buy it and garage it.

Lets face it this car was too special to make into parts. Well done for getting it back together. :D

i dont think anyone is slating the car mate...just expressing opinions

but personally....theres no way id pay that money for a write off......unless it was a ferrari or lambo

KingStromba

Surely it depends. If you replace all the parts that were bent youll probably end up with a car that is better put together than Renault managed. And lets face it a 5000 mile Willy engine has got to be pretty special.

I put my dash back better than Renault managed it.

again its all down to personal preference......for some reason a car thats been bumped never seems to feel rite after to me...maybe its jus me......but i dont think it is lol

look at the monkey who rebuilt my gearbox..lasted 10,000 miles....original reno 1....70k + and still not fukt......

some things are better off left dead imo

salvageable parts excepted
