Typically how much does a gearbox rebuild/recondition cost on a willy?

So worst case about 550quid!

ouch thats quite abit more expensive than i thought.

anybody know anyone or any specialist that can do it cheaper?

yeah can be done cheaper mate as lots of places will just fix a box..but a full rebuild kit from renault including all parts needed is 300 quid of ebay..

just a syncro kit is 150/195 iirc so could be less.

cps charge 95 quid plus parts if you want it repaired.

CTS are very good - they know the weknesses of the box and address them in the re-build - if you just get Renault bits then the weaknesses still remain....

Yes it does doesn't it... that's because thats just the labour cost. As maxi said parts are extra and I very much expect collect/deliver is extra as well.
