just getting round to sorting an engine now for the willy, took a while to get the chassis as fresh as it is lol!!

Thinking as a god F7R is had to find ( i sold my build to andy fielder) im thinking of going down the F4R route. I have shed loads of experience with these engines so its gonna be fairly easy for me. Im also gonna drop on some bodies to make it interesting! Now whats everyones opinion on this conversion?

Good and bad wants to be heard!! :D

Either way ive been in chats with craig so he will be enlisted in sorting this out with me. Hopefully i should be looking at one of the cleanest and fastest n/a mk1's ever built :D

thanks

i like the f4r tbh, from what a few have said dropping one in is pretty straight forward as the same mounting points/gearbox/shafts can be used, just sorting a downpipe as the f4r exhausts go over the subframe but again i think a few have sorted that ok

oh and wiring but if your going with bodies and standalone management then shouldnt be a big worry!

heres mine:

exhaust was annoying, but i've got it sussed now

rewired the 172 loom to match the 16v and ive got everything working except the rev counter!

182 engine ;), mk1 box for ease of mounting (though u can use a mk2 box with a mk2 gearbox tray if u dont have ABS, 172 engine mount, custom PAS pipes etc...

exhaust is still blowing loads at the downpipe as it has a huge slit in it that I made to angle it correctly, so sounds horrible... seems rapid thought :? i'll give my thoughts tomorrow when i get it welded :D
