Can anyone tell me, Does the williams jc5 gearbox have a lsd in it as standard.

No i dont think so, you can buy them though im sure

No, definitely no LSD as standard.
no...cheapest lsd is about 800 quid...

Cheers for the respose it was a question from a friend of mine who's just baught a willy 1 aswell. But its got a dead gearbox, i think he;s on about putting a 16v gearbox in it instead. Trying to put him off that idea as there not as strong ive heard. :)
16v gearbox is okay so long as you dont drive it like u stole it and newer ones have since had bolt in diff specced on them aswell so even better, but willy box is better if you can afford it
I don't understand why people slate the JB3 boxes... the RTOC boys and girls have no issues putting 160-200bhp thru them at all.
never slated them just think the JC5 is stronger and in willy form has better ratio's for big horse power motors..
whn i had my GTT i was running around the 170bhp mark with over 200lbs ft of torque and neverhad a problem with it.
when i had my next r5 it had a valver lump in putting the power down through another GTT box and thats still going strong as far as i know after 2 years

Well i think he's putting in 16v box because it was a freeby, we'll av to see weather lasts. Hope it does will be nice 2 av another willy in east anglia. :)
