Right i am currently adding a silver rim to my refurbed wheels (not refurbed by me, but a previous owner).

Now my polished rim looks ideal but the problem i have is that two of the wheels have been curbed, and as such there are now deepish grooves in two of the silver rims. The question is what do i do about this.

I was thinking of getting them machined to a lower level to take the gashes out. Any other ideas?

Only way round it to get a nice finish is to skim them up on a lathe.

Anyone got a lathe lying about anywhere?

LOL

A local company would do them cheap enough. Thing is though its trying to get them not to damage them in the process is the tricky bit.
