What else are you putting down mate? IE additional drivers and how many no claims you have? and is that the 10 month jobbie?

cheapest i can get is around £1100 20 2 years no claims.

I'm paying £800TPFT for my "valver" that was taken out with 1 years NCB and when I was 19, a couple of weeks before turning 20. I have tried a quick quote to see what I will be paying when its to be renewed in a few months and it was about £450 TPFT iirc.

£1154 i was 19 with 1 years no claims when i first insured the valver. that was with adrain flux (highway agency) with mods declared whic at the time was pretty cheap...

Just to confirm we are all talking about fully comp prices and not TPTF?

TPFT

2 additional drivers (each driver you add with admiral seems to drop the price by £150 odd a time!!)

1 years NCB, 2 previous claims one 50/50 and the other non fault.

Yeah its a 10 month one.

Think morethan are doing a deal at the mo

For every year no claims you get 1months insurance paid for.

Yep, Im from Preston, but live in Penwortham which is a nice area, yet we get PR1 postcode.

I believe the lower the number this indicates how near to a city centre you are? An this determines price?

Yet there are areas of Preston that have guns, gangs the lot and they get a PR1 postcode. Its not right, so in theory I should pay less!!!!

Insurance is ****ed up, it always has been and always will be, theres no consistency to it or logic at all. It just never makes any sense. You can call one minute and they give you one price, call the next and theyve added £300 on...

Your on a williams though aint you daz.?

Im only on a 16v

Aye well I'm in BB1 so right in the middle of shitter land.

16v to willy wasn't huge for me difference wise, some of it will be that but most will be simply where I am.

Mind you next renewal time I'll be living somewhere nicer :D

I am getting absolutley raped judging by what people are paying in here.

I was paying £1000 - thats for 10,000 a year, 4 yrs NCB protected, fully comp.

My wife did add about 200 to it due to a crash she had, so even on my own it was £800.

The mods added about £75 to.

all depends on the car mate, due to market value for these cars being quite low, even a slight front end bump damaging bonnet, bumper, wings headlamps would probably be enough for an insurance company to write the car off, even if there isnt any structural damage. In that case full comp insurance would pay out for the replacement of the car and give you the option to by the car back very cheaply and repair it as you want.

my quote for TPFT was £325 but thought for the extra £15 id go fully comp, even with teh £250 excess

Im payin £365 COMP on the willy thats with 2 NCB at 29...... ONLY payin £550 on the skyline but thats with 8 NCB tried to insure the willy with same ppl and they wanted £630!?!?!?! WTF! They said its coz i said i would use the willy for driving to and from work. £365 was from performance insurance 8)

it aint ok cos i lost my ncb!

Jamie.
22-10-2008, 18:08
Yeh Justin has a good point.

I have had 3 crashes. The two which were not my fault were both uninsured drivers.

After than I have always gone fully comp with legal protection. Such a pain in the ass when you are doing all the chasing and need professional help to sort these things out.

Other problem is knock for knock. Equal blame so who will pay then? Don't think the insurer will?

franksvalver
22-10-2008, 20:06
Knock for knock you pay for theirs they pay for yours surely?

Jamie.
22-10-2008, 20:28
Being only on 3rd party I would have thought the insurer would pay for the other person in the accident but not your car.
