hiya,

im currently trying to take my williams seats out and replace them with buckets but im having some issues.....

one of the bolts on each seat has had its head filled in presumably by renault. how did you guys get the filler out to change them? and also what size are the seating bolts incase i get a bit agressive with them and i need new ones.

Cheers!

Odd, tehre should be 5 T40 iirc bolts holding teh seats onto the runners, none of the cars i've ever had have the heads filled in, but if its a problem can always cut a slot accross the head or worst case, grind the head off

The ones with the heads filled in hold the seat to the runner so there's no need to undo them unless you're mounting the new seats on them.
Its only 4 bolts you need to undo then you slide the whole lot forward then you can lift the seat out

to get the whole lot out undo the 2 torx screws on the sill side of each seat (by the door) then go under the car and undo the 2 nuts per seat near mid section of the exhaust, that way the entire lot will come out, seats and runners

cool i like the slot idea across the head. ah crap i was hoping i wouldnt have to get under the car, now i got to go find a jack again.

i need the runners and everything out as i got sub frames, (106 subframes mind got to see if they'll drill :P) so if everythings comin out i deff have to get under it again!?

cheers for the input guys!

ok got the the passenger seat out and 106 subframes cant be drilled so now you know.

also if i order clio subframes do i get the bolts with it and how do mount them in the car as on the sill side its on these removable plastic blocks see pic...http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x223/JingosLingo/Image106.jpg

and as you can see from the other pics without these blocks there no thread to screw into. cheers
