I bought a Clio 16v Turbo in November last year.

Head gasket went after a month or two of ownership!

It was running 9 psi and just under 195bhp.. having a little play with Jay S and Midge when i got it, i was impressed.

At the time, i had full leather interior, spare wheel, full car and a mate.. (not skinny either!!) and it was close to Jay S, he beat me, but not by loadssssss.

Since the head gasket went, i was wondering what to do with it, either sell it, fix head gasket and sell, or go low comp+high boost.. after messing around with trying to get laguna pistons and low comp ratio, i saw coops' build and thought **** it!, I went and bought Forged 1mm oversize pistons and the build began.

Current stage..

- bottom end is in the engineering shop (www.gosnays.co.uk) and being fitted is new bid ends, conrod bearings, thrust washers, arp bolts, Wossner 8:0:1 83.00mm pistons etc..

- head has been stripped down and is ready to be taken to the machine shop.

I have decided to refurb the whole engine bay.. so be ready for a more 'clean' look engine bay!!

Some pics!

When i bought the car -

It was a bit chavved up, had big exhaust, 16v badges and aftermarket fuel cap! (all removed now)

What it currently looks like!

I am waiting on my engine to be back from the machine shop, so i can build it all back up. I am in a race to get it ready for FCS! For this reason, i won't be doing track time! (sorry northy!) as by then i'll still be running my new engine in!.

MASSIVE MASSIVE thanks to Neil (maxiboy) and Ben (coops) and Stan (APD) (amongst others) for their advice and help throughout the build, i've been bugging them with questions and questions for the best part of a year!

Full spec and proper pics to follow! Watch this space!!!

not sure, something about the 'sleeve' has popped out my mate was saying, think so! need to take the transfer box off so i can sell it on ebay, and scrap the box, you can have the box part free.
