wrong forum sorry mods, move it if you want
You'll be lucky to get front shocks new for under £100, well worth uprating them though, would be amazed the difference they make
I think williams shocks are just under £100 from renault.... got the part number written down here and there 40something +Vat each...
I also want some new front shocks, maybe coilovers tho...

yeah originals it is gonna keep the gsf springs on tho, i like the stance, plus im now mates with the guy at the dealership near my work and hes giving me stuff trade prices, so im getting 2 new shockers, and the rubber bush kit and clips for each side for £140
I have some brand new LEDA front fully adjustable suspension (recepit for 850 quid) 450 and you can have

450 for the fronts only and you can have them, dont have the rear as planned to use the current ones i have.
Eibach main and slipper springs
Camber correction bolts
Have got a recepit for nearly 900 quid for them.
Details?
Spring poundage etc
How many ways adjustable are they
Are they designed for williams or valver?

Height and single adjustable (bump / rebound) 2-3 way units take months to get right so didnt opt for them, plus they where 1400 quid.!!
Front springs 350lbs but has slipper spring to soften all the small bumps so not crashy at all.
They are designed / fit both as the top holes are elongated (from factory)and you have the camber correction bolts to adjust camber to your requirements.

Get New OEM suspension - after doing mine I love it.
Springs, have a look on another forum for 172 FF springs (same as williams) OEM Springs are pricey, although people sell 172 FF springs for about £30-£50.
OEM Williams suspension new is just under £100.
Bargain for the driving peasure it will give you.
Also might be worthwhile chaning ARB Bushes, track Rods, Winsbones inc bushes/ball joints. Did mine and would recommend it to anyone.
Try this place for the wishbones including bushes and ball joints
http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/
Although make sure you get the R19 16v wishbones (which are identical to the williams), as they list the Valver and Williams wishbones to be the same part No. which they should not be.
cheers eternal, gonna get most of the bushes and that from there then.
i think im gonna stick with the 40mm springs as i love the stance and the car still handles good enough for me. im going for OE shockers and top mount kit tho
just a few questions if you dont mind, as im trying to get through my list of jobs and so i dont have to start up loads of different topics.
1.i need to weld my steering coloumn (i can weld) but does it have to be in a specific position or can you weld the joint anywhere? and i need to replace the rack as the TR ends are ducked but there seized in, the car has a phase 1 rack i believe as the TR ends are male, does that mean that the steering column is ph1 or are they the same?
2.which are the ARB bushes?
3. what do i need to replace when there is no resistance on the bottom arm when re-inserting the shocker bottom? as on my other clios and the o/s of this one you nees to push the hub down with your foot and prize it in, on the n/s its a bit floppy.
4. is there a better tool than a 21mm ring spanner to undo the shocker top with, or any better techniques? to getting it off.
and a last (maybe dumb) question about the rev limiter as ive hit it a couple of times recently in second (like last night showing a modified scooby wagon that turbo lag is shit  )
is it bad for the engine to hit the limiter? i know your not supposed to (its rare that i do) and people have the limit raised but it just doesnt sound good
cheers for anyones help on any of the questions

columns are the same i believe on all cars with power steering..but either get some heat and swap the tr ends or you can change the arms also...
2. antiroll bar bushes ... there will be four i think on a willy iirc..
3. could be the antiroll bar has come away from that wishbone...
4. 21mm socket and cheap impact gun...
5. get it raised or no need to worry about hitting it..
cheers maxiboy cock on that pal
