Coops

hole in the map mate, overfuels a tad on first max boost incident, its not a major issue but it means the curve is a bit erattic before 4000rpm

Nice one mate. Gotta be the most powerful Clio 16V in the country? What's the power at the wheels?
Looks like the map isn't great though. Who mapped it?

MAXIBOY

^^^^^ maybe but not for long...

its a fast chip map and after reading your comments in another thread i am already thinking of going stand alone... 8)

Coops

213bhp at the wheels mate, the map is an off the shelf chip, so its less than ideal hence the holes in the map when it come on full boost, fuelling at those points is crap, overfuels a bit and looses the nice curve, so it needs sorting out, but its not dangerously out so it'll be fine for now, till i can afford new injectors and more boost, then i'll pay for a map.

Adam bates' white 16v turbo mk1 puts out 242bhp at the wheels iirc, so not quite the most powerful and i'm sure theres a few more BBPT high boost conversions out there running more that arent in the clubs so dont know about them

MAXIBOY

yes coops but its fast enough for your clutch at the moment...

any updates mate... :D

It's just a base map. Fastchip should stipulate that. Instead of just selling them like they'll work with every car.

I could improve that map! 8)

yes mate...but stan's having a go first... :D

the chips ok but as stated with so many different variations all cars should run better with a custom map..

plus having henk fly over every time it needs tweeking would get expensive..

it is listed as generic application mate, so i never expected it to do wonders, and it was only ever gonna be temporary......just am skint so temporary is a bit longer

thing is, you never see that white one? i only ever saw it at fcs 06, and pfc magazine!

willyturbo on here (dan), has a high boost conversion, running 270bhp @ fly. (bb rollers)

:yap: all this turbo talk  do they make a paddle clutch for the meggy F7R flywheel?

afaik mate any 200mm renault clutch should work regardless of flywheel used so id say coops would fit yours etc...

ah of course, dumb question

aren't the meganes 215mm though...though paddle plates would still work..

stan
22-05-2008, 20:43
the 215mm clutches wont fit a williams/1.8 fly.

best bet for you turbo bummers would be to have a megane/172 clutch made to fit a willy/1.8 fly.

Martin

turbo...schmerbo :P

jay s
22-05-2008, 20:48
ah sorry my mistake then, thought megan f7r used a 200mm clutch as std  wonder why renault fitted a 215mm clutch to the megan but not the willy :?: , probaly thought the extra weight of a megane would put some stress on the clutch after some years lol....

best for us turbo boys to go standalone and run the megane flywheel... 8)

if this doesnt hold it on the helix setup now then megane 215mm is the way forward but i think i'll just buy a megane clutch setup and get one of the lads at work to tap the valver flywheel to accept it and get them balance it up etc.

this current one now is good top 200lb/ft static and 230lb/ft dynamic and i'm putting out that, so fingers crossed it'll hold.

but then i'll want more power.................
