i know people said it takes 5.5 litre of oil in a williams however i did an oilchange last week and only put 4 in and it was just below max both on the dipstick and on the level guage.
i referred to my haynes manual and it says
f7p steel sump 3.5 litres
f7p aluminum sump 4.2 litres
so i was just curious as to how you lot got 5.5 litres in? cos i went out and bought 40quids worth of oil when i only needed half, suppose itll encourage me to service it again at the end of the summer

Only ever use about 5ltrs tops

Did you run the engine for a few mins, and then leave it a few mins and check the level again?

According to the supplementary handbook that comes with the williams the capacity is (Approx) 5,75 litres inc filter.

Are you sure you have a 2.0 fitted?

you did allow it to drain fully? was it warm or cold etc so the oil could run out easyier

LOL

I wouldn't worry about getting extra oil though - you'll probably need it to top up in a couple of thousand miles!
