ok so i went to change my pads and discs earlier and by gum it was a horrible sight!

firstly some numpty has used different sized wheel bolts so there kind of threaded and rusty. got the wheels off in the end only to find on the front passenger side one bolt that holds the disc on is missing and the other one is rounded off and rusty. then on the drivers side the heads snapped off one meaning its got to be drilled out. the others good though, small miracle! then the caliper is rusted and the bolts have rounded off so i cant get it undone. and then the cherry on the cake is the connectors on the brakelines are almost rusted to pieces!

i haven't even looked at the back ones yet. so a quick trip to the local renault specialist and its now booked in on wednesday to get fixed. i didnt tell them about the rounded off and snapped disc screws it will be a little treat for them. lol

anyway rant over i just wanted to share my pain with fellow owners.

Let the grease monkeys spend all day shouting and swearing at it

Stay and watch. I did that when I took mine 4 oil change (couldn't be arsed to do it myself and for the sake of £20 y not?) watched the pair of dozy planks trying to find the filter as I watched from the waiting room. I eventually said to their manager "shall I show them where it is?" and his reply was "f*ck it, let them suffer, stupid pricks"

He was then nice enough to gather a large crowd of mechanics to humiliate the 2 guys even more while they were still struggling to find and get the filter off

i just put my goodridge lines on today, Feckin brake pipe to flexi nuts had rounded off on the front nearside and rear offside, managed to sort the offside rear by taking the brake pipe off the car and twisting it off with molegrips, front one the copper pipe kinked... dont have a flaring tool at home, so its a nice walk into work tommorow and ill use the one at work to make a new line.. got a blanking plug in the master cylinder so i can move it lol
