Right i know a few people on here have fixed bucket seat's but how have u fixed them in ?

Basically me and ClioLord attempted to fit a pair of Sparco Evo 2's into my valver last nite and can not work out what to do !? The seat's only come with side mount's so Clio subframes are not available.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Bolt them through the raised cross members and either drill right through the floor and use a spreader plate on the back or just through the raised section with a big washer underneath, personally i'd go for the flooroption with a 65x65mmx3mm FIA spec backing plate

Do you not put the floorpan at risk of rust if you're drilling through and leaving bare metal 'exposed'? :?:

Well obviously you treat the holes with underseal etc so there is no bare metal showing, would have thought that was just common sense tbh, hence why i didn't mention it

i find the floorpan to low to be honest..best welding some seat tubes across really..

tubes FTW

OR mount them on std subframes?

I was just asking the obvious to save anyone else having to do it ;)

When my tubes are in i'll get some pics, but mine are stupid low, talking where the seats mount 20mm off the floor if that.

Are you really tall then?

Or do you do the granny look, struggling to see over the steering wheel? LoL

i'm 6'5", with normal buckets on std subframes my head hits the roof with a lid on

LoL

Freak ;)

I want buckets though - track work on standard seats with a helmet on is an uncomfortable affair as I'm near as dammit 6'!
