View Full Version : import tax?
http://www.petroldirect.com/index.htm
would you get hit for import tax on this ?
i assume you would get 17.5% but not the crazy 70p on every £1
P.s don't go mad and try ordering from the site as it is a spoof but just wondering if you can import fuels :P would be a sound idea :)
You'd still need to pay road tax on them, or if you got caught you'd be ****ed, same with red diesel, if they catch you running it they can crush your car

I guess if you bought a tanker-load abroad and then shipped it over here you could leave it in the garden and just use it over time lol
Don't think the ferry or tunnel people would be very happy with you though, putting that much fuel on their boat/train if you had a 'homemade' container on wheels! LoL
Its not that thats the problem, its using a fuel without having duty paid on it.
As above, same problem with using red diesel and chip fat, they aren't illegal in themselves or for off road use, but use them on the road and cus you haven't paid fuel duty on them you are breaking the law
Vin Diesel™ (biofuel)
