View Full Version : Ph1 engine in Ph2
Picked up a Mk1 1994 Ph2 1.2 Clio With a blown engine.
so put the engine outa a Mk1 1993 Ph1 1.2 clio into the shell.
also used the Ph1 ECU.
Its all in but the fuel isnt getting though to the engine.
Checked the fuel pump that works fine when i put a direct feed to it. but when i turn the key the engine trys to turn over but no fuel comes though
what could it be ???
should have kept the same ecu with the loam i think as is an issue with the immobilizer i think...without further info..
I removed the old engine with the old ECU Ph2 engine and ph2 ECU
And replaced with the PH1 engine with the Ph1 ECU (all out the same car)
yeah maybe you should try phase one engine with the phase two ecu and loam...
:-( thats what i was dredding as means taking engine back out lol.
what? just use the ecu that came with the car originally ..see if you get petrol..
but means i'm going have to change the engine loom isnt it.
as the ECU plug sizes are diffrent. ?
are they on the smaller models..sorry on the larger models there all the same...
this happens a lot on the larger engines where they just change a few wires between phases...
most people just alter the plugs after comparing looms but takes a little work..
Perfect :-) worked a charm cheers for the help :-)
i had to change the Inlet manifold tho. as the plugs where diffrent on the engine wireing loom :-)
