Hey....I've just bought a K-Tec Silenced De-Cat from someone off here....I was just wondering from people who have them fitted.....is the performance the same as a straight through unsilenced pipe in that you loose the low down torque up to around 50 and then over that it out performs having the CAT on with more torque? I kinda like how the car drives with the CAT on as I don't really do much in the way of motorway driving etc. Cheers.
Matt

I used to have a straight through de-cat and centre section and a fully stripped out car for everyday driving, drove around in it for a good few years before i earnt enough money to upgrade to luxury for every day

i made inquiries some time back in regards to sports cats (200cell) they all go for similar money to the ktec one . not cheap.

prospeed was the company i enquired about.

the people i know in the Evo world have tested these so called 'sports cats' and most dont flow miuch better than a standard cat... for me its either a silenced de-cat for everyday, just put up with the cat in the first place, or go hard core and buy a decat pipe!

Evo schmeevo (I'm having that as my new word :D )

They haven't had a sports cat on my williams and driven it - it beats the standard cat for pull, sounds the same, is new so will last longer and passes mots all day long without having to get mucky days before and after.

Think I should go to bed now - I've done a 12 hour nightshift and feel a tad lightheaded! :?
