There's something strange happening with my williams 3 and I was wondering if anyone has any solutions or ideas - any help would be much appreciated.

Got it back from the garage where the front loom was replaced. The battery light didn't go on at startup and it ran dead a few times. Duly replaced the alternator with a 120w. Car ran fine - a small stutter - but thought this was just the battery recharding.

Next morning wouldn't start. Starter motor rolled over very slowly, then just clicked, then dead. Turned out to be dodgy connection. Tightened connection to starter motor and it ran fine for two days.

Then playing with stereo this morning for an hour b4 starting it up and the same problem. Starter motor dead! Checked connection - fine. Checked battery? Thought it was okay cos windows were still working well. Thought i might need a new starter motor but then jumped leaded the car to another - left it running for 5 mins, came back to try again and it started fine!?

Any suggestions, thanks...

sounds like the batterys not holding charge . get a drop test done on it.
either that or theres a current drain. this can be checked with a multi meter.
