what sort of trigger are you using to fire the ignition timing from. as the renault 1.8 uses a system thats not really recognized by most stand alone management and most people using stand alone run a megane flywheel to combat this.

not sure then mate as i,ve never heard of the gotec system....

most of us running turbo,s are still using the standard ecu with a fast chip base map running either 250 or 320 bhp maps at the moment though i,m about to run a kms standalone from stan at ap developments.

you would be best sending him a pm. as he tends to know more as he does a lot of mapping on clios with bodies superchargers and turbo,s.

Man i've not seen those crack smokers at JamSport in ages. Is Dan and the Chairman still there? If so, ask them if the bike with no chain is still available for riding ;)

First of all, are you sure you've got the trigger ref setup correctly? If so, is hte ECU recognising engine rotation?

make sure the reference angle for the trigger is correct (or near as damn it until you can get it running to get a timing light on).

how would i able check or messure the angle m8?

You'll need to look at the ECU's software control to see what the current refernce point is set at. IIRC it's something like 120degrees BTDC

totally depends how youve set the trigger wheel up.

The easiest way is probably set at tdc no1 firing, then put the missing tooth part of the trigger wheel 90* after the crank angle sensor.
This would mean the reference is 90* BTDC.
