In all seriousness though, why do you want to get rid? Or why do people get rid?

Ive never driven a 16v with ABS, does it get in the way?

The only reason I ask is because mine doesnt have ABS, and at times I wish it did. The brakes are great under id say light to normal load but once you really need to stamp hard on the pedal the thing just wants to lock up....doesnt give you great confidence, maybe im a shit driver!!

You lot might say part of the thrill!

it can be quite heavy when tracking a car and it also has more expensive parts, for example the rear brake bias valve is more expensive due to the abs double feeds... inner abs rings on the rear discs etc... sensors are expensive so it has its drawbacks...

personally if you had one with abs i would simply unplug it and drive without it, at least its always there should you want it.

It sounds like you have good brakes if they'll lock up - but I would guess you're running cheap tyres if they have no grip?

iirc you're running P6000s aren't you? Nasty tyres ;) lol

Borrow a set of decent rubber and see the difference in grip levels!

haha yeah i was running them on the back, but not on the front, it doesn't matter anyway as i've got a set of r888's waiting in the garage for when the willy gets back out, but it's really to bin it as it doesnt work anyway and to get rid of excess weight :D

P6000's!!!

Christ, no not me. Proxes or Goodyears, I just tend to change, and think one is better than the other. Depends on my mood I think!

Ive just the standard stoppers on (Lucas) but sometimes when Im really hard on them your just waiting for the inevitable screech to come up!!!
