i'll just get it done at his new place then, saves faffing around I guess...

Jamie, last time out he did 2 live's for £350 notes all in. That included the RR time and the before and after was a big difference, so i'll have some of that I think 8)

what is the diff between getting ya ecu remapped and getting a chip e.g. dastek...stm6. any advantage of 1 over another?

well you can get off the shelf type chips that are already programmed for a car similar to yours, but in reality these act as nothing more than increased rev limits as all cars are different... condition being a major factor in this. Things like the SMT chips and Dastek's are like the Chip Wizards one, in that they are all completely and fully programmed individually to your car on a rolling road. Chip Wizard takes your existing ECU and programs a blank ECU with the current basic map and then takes it from there. IMO this is the only option worth considering unless you are going to run bodies, turbo's and superchargers, as they all require something like a DTA or OMEX stand alone ECU that does EVERYTHING.

I do and have been speaking to him last week, he never bothers ringing back, or booking a date, never has his diary with him, really hard work to pin a day down with him, I've got cash here waiting

I got told about chipwizard man whilst chatting to a pug owning friend.
Im looking to get my RS set up, but looking at the price I think id rather go with Bajoo.

but they would only be set up fo the cars they came off.

unlike off the shelf chips that are programmed for set mods on an unknown engine

the chips are match to the tolerances of each component in your own individual car, as every car is slightly different
