I looked for them at GSF but they appear to not stock them anymore... :(

Anywhere else that does them vaguely cheaply?

Blues RS42's?

Well, aye, I'd be looking at Pagid Blues.

I could give them a call I guess...

I bought mine from Yozzasport... came pretty sharpish.

For info: GSF say they discontinued them, and instead have Greenstuff, he went on to say I have to get the Brembo Max discs for them...which I doubt.

Nothing wrong with greenstuffs m8 :winkey:

I noticed a really big difference with them over normal OE pads
Cant really say it was just the pads that made the difference as I replaced the discs with ebc ones at the same time
Then there was even more improvement when I put braided lines on a while later :D

Never used pagid blues b4 so cant really comment on comparisons, but you cant go wrong with greenstuffs imo. I highly recommend them

I'm currently using redstuffs in my wilwoods and they're brilliant :D

Thanks Paddy! I was surprised they said I HAD to use their brembo max though!?

Sounds like you have some sorted brakes there mate :D I wont need such stopping power unless I go mad with mods and track day it loads though hehe. Pads will do me I reckon at first!

Fitting these to the Rally car for Sunday as the previous ones where knackered.

All other cars i have used them gave great performance. Probabley in between DS2500 and DS3000 but without the harsh dust.

I recommend the Blues too :)

Not much dust, a not unreasonable amount of rally-slag squeal :P and last for ages if you're driving normally most of the time 8)

Think they were about £105 from YS when I got them and that was the cheapest I could find them when looking round.

An excellent road/track pad - work well from cold and I've never got them to fade, even after an hour on track at Brunters the year before last!

Wow, so there good then lol. £105 is a lot for me for what is effectively a consumable though. I'll think on it, maybe do it next payday or get some cheaper greenstuffs...

The Greenstuffs have more dust dont they?

As used on Lambos I believe (the guy in evo running the murcielago found they were what was standard but were wayyy cheaper buying direct than through lamborghini lol) so they must be alright! :P

Now check out the price of 70quid plus 15quid shipping on the brembo max discs

GSF do these for:

R60116F BRAKE DISC-BREMBO'MAX' CLIO 1.8 16V 32.00

I would recommend mintex xtreme pads (m1144's essentially), gsf do these at about 40quid for a set up front, dont see them listed on the website but I normally just pop in and get them, so could be worth ringing and finding out if they still do them. I use them on my williams and they are much better than the pagid fast road pads.

As for requiring brembo max discs on those pads as stated above, i think the guy has been reading to many max power mags maybe

The Greenstuffs have more dust dont they?

I remember reading a few years ago that the whole point of greenstuffs were for less brake dust, my dad had them on his vectra :puke: a lot less dust.

Dont know if this is still the case as the greenstuffs I had said they were the 7th generation of the pads and I wouldn't be able to tell if they were dusty or not as I've got black wheels

£105  I paid £37 for my greenstuffs and £35 for the redstuffs

mintex xtreme pads no longer available at gsf or anywhere, apparently mintex pulled them, doh. m1144's are 40quid from rallydesign, good price/performance.

im running greenstuff on the valver, and well i have white wheels!
they do seem to be quite dust free :D

Williams is running mintex, and i have a set of spare mintex for my superlites.

Brakes on my williams are questionalble though i really need to get them checked out.

Good blead and some new hoses i thinks

Mintex are not great for competition (apart from the F4R ones) the Pagid blues are so much better and last ages too.! Dont mix the motor factor "fast road pagids" with the blues.
