My foglights dont work.

While doing all the work for my headgasket and blown ECU etc etc etc I noticed on each side of my car a single pink wire coming from the look in the engine bay going down into the arches towards the foglights either side. Both wires seems to have been snapped/cut. They are pink.

Any ideas what they are for?

I'll try and provide a pic, but it's rather dark out.

its for the brake pad 'low wear' sensors mate.

Pink wire should run down to the caliper

Ahhh! Finally I know wtf thay are!!

The wires look a bit fragile and have apparently sheared off. Easy refit? Or is it a soldering job?

there should be a connector on the end to the brake pad..... if the connector is gone i would chop back to a nice bit of wire and replace....

Do your brake pads have the wire on ???

Thanks Northy. I didn't know what it was for and I have been so busy I've not tampered with the brakes yet, so I dont know where/how they fit into the pad.

I am getting new pads (and possibly discs) very soon, so what I will probably do is, as you say, chop it back to good wire and connect it. I think they may be too short as they are but thats easily solved...I am just wondering why someone took them off in the first place, maybe they used non valver pads or something...
