the wheels on my williams have had a pretty shocking refurb at some point, they have been sprayed ALL gold, no silver lip or edge in sight.

since the silver has all gone and i want to get them refurbed i need to know how much of the edge of the rim was silver out of the factory!

is it just the very outer lip that sticks out a tiny bit? or is it the whole outer edge after the spokes?

thanks in advance...

just the tiny outer edge mate (which is diamond cut NOT painted) so its about 5mm you need to be done

ok cheers mate i know now..

does that mean the rim gets a gold respray, and then is diamond cut/polished or whatever afterwards?

anyone good for the job? how much should i expect to pay?

I think the lip is cut first on a lathe and then normally the wheel is sprayed.

no.. you spray it etc, then cut the lip back with a lathe, or sandpaper etc.
