Hi Guys,

Long time!!

Just bought the clio mentioned below and just wonder if anyone has ever had it before on here?

I think I got meself a bargain, even though it is registered as a Cat-D write off (I can live with that).

Yeah, it is but a Cat D could be a replacement bumper and boot for all I know.

Cat D is least worrying of all the categorys available.
One of my other clios was a cat c write off (the yellow and grey one) and that was fine.

Hes going to put it through an MOT for me before I collect.

It was written off in Feb 2001 so there would be no way of knowing unless you did an actual check yourself.

its a bit odd its no air filter/box on

he mentions fitting a new battery, however that battery is fitted in with the cables on, and fitting the air box in with the battery in place is impossible IIRC, or at the very least, extremely difficult

I can remove the airbox very easily with the battery in place...

Im flying to Birmingham International and then getting train. Only costs £36 to fly and is alot quicker than the train all the way there.

Its about 380 miles in total. What can I say, I love em!

The MOT is booked for wednesday which I think he is paying for aswell.

Ill be picking it up on saturday - Ill keep ya posted on the collection and the end result.
