Dare you to ring up and get a price check on a part, then quote that no.!
Here's one for u stromba
How much would it cost to build a Williams 1 using all brand new genuine Renault parts, gotta be lookin at a few quid there!! I'd probably do that if I won the lottery, and write to Renault asking for a gold badge.....

Nope :D
If you get a new engine, i want the old one
no point getting a new Willy engine at all, better off doing what me and 2 live did and get the megane/spyder engine for the amount they cost... someone remind me again why you cant use the WHOLE megane or spyder engine including the zorst manifold etc and ecu...

Best off getting a racing spyder engine. That way it will fit straight in. :D
but can you use the whole thing? i've heard that you cant for some reason... but surely if you use the WHOLE thing it should fit?? they use fly by wire too iirc, would that work with the willy speedo?

Racing spyder engine IS a Williams lump. Identical
but it wouldnt be original then
i dont think they are identical, the Spyder I thought was more similar in design to the Megane engine? If the whole thing could be used it would be a pretty good thing tho, it produces 200nm torque to the Willy's 175nm iirc.
Aint the heads completely different from Willy to Megane and Spyder?
Not sure if it would be a completely virginal engine though. I can't imagine they've got a whole stock of F7Rs lying around in a warehouse some where. If the model/engine is out of production a new engine from most manufacturers actually means a recon one that has come back from a warranty job or something... I think.
They're usually better than original though, because they would have been made up by hand, using remachined parts, i.e. blue printed.
Could be completely wrong, but I know this is the case with Peugeot, for instance.

Racing Spyder engine = Williams lump
Road Spyder engine = Megane lump
Zollo, this is Reno though, so if recent history is anything to go by the new parts will be remade out of lego and be covered with neon string and rattle to peices after 20k

Reno probably dont do the F7R anymore but have replaced it with a new version called the F7R2.
Made in the same factory as the new stickers
£1500 for an F7P
£4352 for an F7R
Excluding VAT !

 I would have thought the same thing about Peugeot, but my recon GTi 6 engine was a peach!
£4352 + VAT though. Perhaps not.
