1.) I found this picture on the GReddy site ages ago and I fell in love in that bluish exhaust tip. :D I'd really like to have one similar on my Clio and I wonder if anyone knows exactly how this is made?

2.) I'm about to buy Catcams 5502225 and I read somewhere that when buying new cams you have to buy new tappets. Those that are currently in the car are in good condition. Will cams not run-in properly if I don't replace tappets?

Cheers

60 notes from ebay for tappets.

seemed like a daft idea not to replace mine at the time.

chap who rebuilt my engine told me it would be daft not to?

personally I'd not bother replacing them, mine never were and it was fine... well, that part of the engine was fine, just the rest of the unfinished shoddy work that led to eventual bottom end death that wasn't lol

In my case it was the other way around. I've completly rebulit my BE just to drive some 500ish miles and inlet cam bolt went bang and cam stopped rotating. You can imagine the consequences...
